- Deerwood was started in 1945, and sits on the site of a camp from the 1880s.
- Sessions are 3.5 or 7 weeks in length.
- Deerwood has been continuously owned and operated by three generations of the Thomsen family.
- Camper to Staff ratio is 2:1.
- Each year we enroll 135 campers — boys aged 8 to 15.
- Located on Squam Lake in Holderness, NH (2 hours from Boston and Portland).
- In 2024, we enrolled campers from 25 different states.
- Financial assistance is available through The Deerwood Foundation.
- Camp is electronics-free.
- Overnight camping trips are available to all age groups.
